wet/Dry riser Systems
In late 2019, BAFE launched a new competency scheme for dry riser and wet riser product maintenance.
Over a 12-month period, BAFE worked alongside industry experts to create a complete set of standards for the competency of a provider's servicing of dry and wet riser systems.
The resulting "BAFE Competency of organizations for the Service & Maintenance of Dry and Wet Riser/Falling Installations (SP105) Scheme" was the first of its kind to assess the competency of this service. to learn more about ensuring your property complies with BAFE standards, read more about fire suppression systems.
A step forward in fire safety competence
It is critical that BAFE represents the highest quality of fire safety standards. Across the UK, there are thousands of wet and dry riser installations. BAFE acted upon this and launched this scheme to determine the competency of the fire safety provider, making the next step forward in fire safety competence.
BAFE has stated their commitment in developing the level of competency in support of the maintenance and servicing of these products. The new SP105 scheme demonstrates a way to easily source a competent provider for wet and dry riser installation and maintenance.
