This system analyses your facial characteristics, most commonly the length of your nose, angle of the jaw and the distance between the eyes. Facial recognition is ideal for when you need to keep unauthorised people out and at the same time identify who is entering the area.	This is an extremely popular security system choice, as everyone’s fingerprints are different. This is an extremely reliable way of controlling who is entering your premises.	Hands are not as descriptive as fingerprints, and therefore cannot be used for identification, but if all you need is verification then this system is perfect. The system will analyse the length, width and height of your fingers and even the distance between your joints.
Iris Recognition	Voice Recognition
As your iris is said to not change throughout your whole life, this is a great access control solution. Your iris has more than 250 unique characteristics and is perfect for verification.	This system identifies individuals by the different characteristics their voices hold. It will capture samples of the person’s voice and creates a biometric template to uniquely identify them.

Two of the more common establishments to use biometric security technology are high schools and business facilities. A register is no longer needed in educational establishments if students take responsibility for their own attendance. This also gives more time for a class session if the first ten minutes isn’t taken up by registering all of the students.

Biometrics for your business

If a business is having problems with employees signing in to work for each other, facial and fingerprint recognition software will tell you who is actually registering and when.

Another popular solution to this issue is to install verification software (such as hand geometry), and integrate it with a surveillance system, for example CCTV. This way, you will still know who it is
clocking-in.
